Big Brother Africa 8: Finally, the nudity begins

When Karen Igho won the Big Brother Africa reality show a few years ago, the entire nation stood still for her and of course, everything changed as her new found status opened series of doors.
In 2012, many had expected late Goldie to go as far as Karen did, but she unfortunately crashed out during the show.
Well, it’s 2013 and Nigeria has two representatives at the BBA 8 show, which has been christened
‘The Chase.’
This year’s edition kicked off on May 26th 2013 and a total of 28 housemates from 14 African countries are competing for the $300, 000 grand prize.
The first Nigerian representative this year is Melvin Oduah, a 27 year old model and actor who hails from Delta State. Melvin was a first runner up at the Mr. Nigeria 2011 competition and first runner up Gulder Ultimate search VI.
The second representative is Beverly Ada Osu, a video vixen who also hails from Delta state.
Beverly describes herself as a sexy go-getter and it would be exciting to know how far she can go.
Nigerians and the rest of the world have their fingers crossed as the show builds momentum.
One aspect of the show that has made it one of the most controversial shows on the African continent is the level of nudity that viewers are exposed to.
The stark irony of this is that while the shows gets condemned year in year out, the population of viewers and the popularity of the show appears to be on a steady rise.Barely two weeks into the show and there have already been trickles of nudity as made manifest in bathroom scenes of Nigeria’s female representative, Beverly Osu being beamed to the world and a leaked sex tape of Pokello; another contestant earlier in the show.
Osu is familiar with the dramatics of the show and the presence of cameras in the bathrooms had her nude images broadcast to millions of viewers across the globe.
As the clock of progress continues to tick, the anticipation and suspense continues to grow as we await this year’s winner of the $300, 000 grand prize.
