RCCG celebrates God’s talent in children

With more youths getting involved in entertainment, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Province Four, with its headquarters in City of David, Victoria Island, recently organised a talent hunt show to help discover young talents in the entertainment industry. 
Tagged, ‘God’s Children Got Talent,’ the show was organised for kids aged five – 19 years, to showcase their gifts in playing musical instruments, singing and recitation, among others. The event held at Zinnia Hall, Eko Hotel & Suites, had as judges in delectable actress, Joke Silva; songstress, TY Bello, and music instructor, Ben Ogbeiwi. 

The 35 participants that took part in the final emerged from the different branches under Province Four. The grand prize of one N1 million went to Group D Fabulous. The group made up of 10 members is in the age category 16-19 years. For the age group 13 – 15 years, the winner was Emmanuel B. John, who won N500,000, a set of drums, RTN decoder and one year talent development training. The competition for age group 10 -12 years was won by Ademuyiwa David, who got a cash prize of 300,000, a keyboard, RTN decoder and one year talent development programme. Timilehin Abe won N250,000, a saxophone, RTN decoder and one year talent development programme for age category 7-9 years. The competition for age group 5-6 years was won by Ayomide Oluwapelumi Owa, a dancer. He got N250,000, one year talent development programme, a violin and an RTN recorder. The aim of the competition, according to the organisers is among other things to provide a platform for young Christians to shine forth the light of God in the gospel as well as expose and develop gifted children.
